The Selangor Turf Club will host the running of the New Zealand Bloodstock Ready To Run Trophy on Saturday, 15 October 2022 sponsored by world renowned auction house New Zealand Bloodstock.

The race is held in recognition of the New Zealand Bloodstock’s strong affiliation with the Selangor Turf Club and the Club’s participation in the Ready to Run Sale scheduled to be held at the Karaka Sales Centre on 16 and 17 November 2022. The sale’s Breeze Up gallops were conducted on 3rd & 4th October, with the Breeze Up videos available online.

The New Zealand Bloodstock Ready to Run sale is a world renowned producer of two-year-olds, with an excellent track record of Group I winners as well as Derby and Classic stars. The sale has built a reputation for integrity and success making it the preferred auction for global buyers to secure Australasia’s top level juveniles.

Horse owners and prospective buyers are encouraged to attend the sale as the Selangor Turf Club is providing a special incentive for buyers. A rebate of RM20,000 (NZ$7300) will be sponsored by the Club to buyers for each horse purchased at the sale and destined to be based at Selangor Turf Club. This rebate is offered to the first fifteen (15) horses purchased directly through the sale.

In addition to this incentive, as a gesture of goodwill, New Zealand Bloodstock is offering a “Buyer Reward Program” for overseas buyers attending and purchasing from the sale.

The New Zealand Bloodstock Ready To Run Trophy is a Metro A race run over a distance of 1100 meters. Director of Business Development of New Zealand Bloodstock, Mr Michael Kneebone will present the prizes to the wining connections immediately after the running of the race. In-conjunction with the sponsorship, on the same day, the Club will also be staging the running of New Zealand Bloodstock Airfreight Stakes.
