Frank Maynard’s Forsa Eclipse provided Ruzaini an armchair ride, ran true to form with a tremendous win in the Restricted Maiden event over 1200m in 1.08.1 seconds in Race 5 on Sunday along the way breaking the 1200m short course record previously held by Captain Obvious (1.08.34 seconds) set in 2011. The nice looking three-year-old by Showcasing just jumped out from the barrier 12 and led all the way to win uncontested. Keep a close watch for more wins. Charles Leck’s Panda Bomb, was given a confident ride by budding apprentice A Suriya, jumping from Barrier 6, he tucked the gelding just off the early leader and in the home straight after a short tussle had the leader collared at the 200m mark and drew away winning convincingly. There should be more wins in store for the gelding. The five-year-old gelding by Phenomenons, winning time of 1.21.1 seconds, rewrote the long standing 1400m (long course) course record set by Yallah’s Success way back in 1997. Lawson Moy’s Premium Rush ridden by Apprentice J Daniel has finally broke the ice in great style in race 5 on Saturday. The four-year-old by Remind was well up with the pace and made the bid at the final stages of the race to win. Keep a close watch and should score more wins in better company.
