The surcingle and breastcheck of BULLSEYE (App P Haris) became undone from about the 400M, resulting in its saddle slipping back during the running.  Trainer K Coetzee was warned that he must ensure that the gears are properly-fitted, failing which action will be taken in future.

Passing the 200M, BULLSEYE was held up for a run between DIAMOND PEGASUS (AL Da Silva) and SHOQEET (App A Azizi).

When questioned regarding his ride on KOTA RANGER, Jockey KC Wong stated that the horse was restless in its stall and after jumping, KOTA RANGER was not fast enough to maintain its position and was shuffled back to the rear of the field.  The gelding showed no pace, despite him urging and he was unable to get a clear run in the straight.  His explanations were noted, however he was warned to ride all his mounts out so as to leave no room for query, failing which action may be taken against him in future.
