At the conclusion of an inquiry, Jockey R Nuqman, the rider of OUD WOOD, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that whilst riding OUD WOOD, he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to KHAN PEGASUS at the 1000M.
In assessing the penalty, the Stewards took into consideration Jockey R Nuqman’s guilty plea, mitigating factors, previous riding record and his submissions on penalty. He was suspended from riding in races for a period of two (2) Malaysian race days, to be deferred, with effect from 5 May 2025 and to expire on 11 May 2025, both dates inclusive. He was advised of his Right of Appeal.

In assessing the penalty, the Stewards took into consideration Jockey WW Cheah’s mitigating factors, previous riding record and his submissions on penalty. He was suspended from riding in races for a period of two (2) Malaysian race days with effect from 5 May 2025 and to expire on 11 May 2025, both dates inclusive. SUPER MANJUNG had to ease when awkwardly placed on the inside of ORIENTAL HALFLAMMA which shifted in in the straight.
A race review was called into this incident, which was followed by an objection being lodged by Jockey R Shafiq, the rider of the second placed horse (SUPER MANJUNG) against the winner, ORIENTAL HALFLAMMA (XC Liang) on the grounds of interference at approximately the 200M.
After considering the evidence in this matter, the Stewards overruled the objection as they were satisfied that SUPER MANJUNG would not have finished ahead of ORIENTAL HALFLAMMA with or without the incident.
At the conclusion of an inquiry, Jockey S Salee, the rider of BATTLESTAR, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that whilst riding BATTLESTAR, he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to PACIFIC SNOOPY and LIM’S UNIQUE at about the 700M.
In assessing the penalty, the Stewards took into consideration Jockey S Salee’s guilty plea, mitigating factors, previous riding record and his submissions on penalty. He was suspended from riding in races for a period of two (2) Malaysian race days with effect from 5 May 2025 and to expire on 11 May 2025, both dates inclusive. He was advised of his Right of Appeal.

GENERAL REPORT(S) – SLTC
RACE 2 (R0264) CLASS 5A – 1500M (LC E), SUNDAY, 20 APRIL 2025, SELANGOR TURF CLUB APRIL MEETING 2025
The Stewards, on Sunday, 27 April 2025 at SLTC, concluded an inquiry into the running and handling of FRENETIC and took evidence from Jockey SU Lim, the rider of FRENETIC.
After reviewing the films of the incident and considering the evidence tendered, the Stewards decided to take no further action, however, highlighted the inconsistency of his riding and advised him that should he appear before the Board regarding a similar occurrence in future, more severe sanctions may follow.

The report dated 24 April 2025 (V25/063) from the Chief Analyst of Veterinary Forensic Laboratory stated that 38 coded urine and 38 sets of coded blood samples from the above mentioned race meeting were received on 20 April 2025, for analysis under the MRA Rules and Regulations. No prohibited substances were detected.
