Increase In Horses And Races At SLTC
In view of the increase in horse population, the Selangor Turf Club has increased the number of races for 2018.
Speaking at the Selangor Turf Club Annual General Meeting held on Tuesday, 26 June 2017 at the Selangor Turf Club, the Chairman, Tan Sri Datuk Richard Cham Hak Lim said that the horse population has improved to about 550 horses and in view of the increasing trend and support from Owners/Trainers, the Club had also increased the number of races for year 2018.
He further added that this would indirectly increase the racing expenses and therefore the Club has decided to restructure the Stake Money Distribution Scheme in order to enhance the efficiency of racing operations and optimize the race cost over time to a manageable level.
