Between the 1400M and 1000M, PACIFIC SOLDIER was inconvenienced on 2 occasions when awkwardly placed on the inside of GENERAL CHENG. Thereafter, in the concluding stages, PACIFIC SOLDIER was tightened for galloping room, when awkwardly positioned between WAR CODE, which rolled in marginally and GENERAL CHENG, which hung out.
A race review was called into this incident, which was followed by an objection being lodged by Jockey TH Koh, the rider of the fourth placed horse, PACIFIC SOLDIER, against the second placed horse, GENERAL CHENG (S Nakano) on the grounds of interference shortly after the jump and during the concluding stages.
After considering the evidence in this matter, the Board overruled the objection. In arriving at this decision, the Board considered that there were multiple movements between horses in this incident, the proximately of this incident to the finish and from the footage particularly the side-on angle, it could not definitely established that but for the aforementioned incident PACIFIC SOLDIER would have finished ahead of GENERAL CHENG. Therefore, it overruled the objection and allowed the Judge’s result to stand.

Trainer R Lines was fined RM100/- under MRA Rule 65(5)(c) for failing to produce the declared colours on IRONCLAD (L De Souza).
At the conclusion of an inquiry, Jockey S Salee, the rider of JOEY was found guilty to a charge of under MRA Rule 44(6) for failing to ride his horse out to the end of the race to the satisfaction of the Stewards. The particulars of the charge being that he failed to ride JOEY out to the end of the race to the satisfaction of the Stewards in the concluding stages, thereby prejudicing his chances of obtaining the outright fourth position.
In assessing the penalty, the Stewards took into consideration Jockey S Salee’s mitigating factors, previous riding record and his submissions on penalty. He was fined RM2,000/- and advised of his Right of Appeal.
At the conclusion of an inquiry, Apprentice PH Seow, the rider of PACIFIC WINDSOR pleaded guilty to a charge of under MRA Rule 44(6) for failing to ride her horse out to the end of the race to the satisfaction of the Stewards. The particulars of the charge being that she failed to ride PACIFIC WINDSOR out to the end of the race to the satisfaction of the Stewards in the concluding stages, thereby prejudicing her chances of obtaining the outright fourth position.
In assessing the penalty, the Stewards took into consideration Apprentice PH Seow’s guilty plea, mitigating factors, previous riding record and her submissions on penalty. She was fined RM2,000/- and advised of his Right of Appeal.

Trainer K Ananthen was fined in total RM500/- under MRA Rule 152(5)(a) for failing to submit a Special Request for BOLD RUNNER & EVER RELIABLE to remove the earmuffs at the barrier.
Trainer CC Ooi was fined RM250/- under MRA Rule 152(5)(a) for failing to declare the use of earmuffs in the race.
An inquiry was held into the reason why DEFEATER had to ease approaching the 600M. In this regard, evidence was taken from Apprentice PH Seow (DEFEATER), Jockey S Ruzaini (BOLD RUNNER), and Jockey AL Da Silva (LIGHTNING GENERAL). Jockey AL Da Silva and Jockey S Ruzaini both explained neither of them had shifted in and had merely held their position. It was the statement of App PH Seow that DEFEATER had on its own accord raced greenly in the running and had shifted away from BOLD RUNNER when marginally tightened into the turn. Therefore, the panel could not a portion blame to an individual and this was deemed a racing incident.

At the conclusion of an inquiry, Apprentice I Fikri, the rider of LIMITLESS ROAR was found guilty to a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to INFINITY GLORY at approximately the 350M.
In assessing the penalty, the Stewards took into consideration Apprentice I Fikri’s mitigating factors, previous riding record and his submissions on penalty. He was suspended from riding in races for a period of two (2) Malaysian race days with effect from 28 October 2024 and to expire on 10 November 2024, both dates inclusive. He was advised of his Right of Appeal.

In assessing the penalty, the Stewards took into consideration Apprentice T Ammar’s mitigating factors, previous riding record and his submissions on penalty. He was suspended from riding in races for a period of two (2) Malaysian race days with effect on 28 October 2024 and to expire on 3 November 2024, both days inclusive. He was advised of his Right of Appeal.
GENERAL REPORT(S) – SLTC
RACE 3 (R0629) CLASS 4B – 1100M (SC A4), SUNDAY, 30 JUNE 2024, SELANGOR TURF CLUB JUNE MEETING 2024
The Stewards have considered the trials of App R Nuqman since 15 September 2024 and are satisfied that there is no evidence to support a continued restriction on his riding. Accordingly, App R Nuqman is cleared to ride effective from 28 October 2024.
RACE 5 (R1006) CLASS 4A – 1100M (SC-A6), SATURDAY, 26 OCTOBER 2024, SELANGOR TURF CLUB OCTOBER MEETING 2024
The Stewards, on Sunday, 27 October 2024 took evidence from Jockey AL Da Silva, the rider of GOOD MAN.
The jockey was questioned regarding the riding style he adopted at the top of the straight. The jockey explained that he was unable to get his mount to change legs using his usual rhythm and therefore was forced to adopt a different tactic in order to obtain the desire outcome. The Stewards noted his explanation.
RACE 6 (R1007) METRO A – 1200M (SC-A6), SATURDAY, 26 OCTOBER 2024, SELANGOR TURF CLUB OCTOBER MEETING 2024
The Stewards, on Sunday, 27 October 2024 took evidence from Jockey AL Da Silva, the rider of GOOD FIGHT.
After reviewing the films of the incident and considering the evidence tendered, the Stewards decided to take no further action. However, the jockey was reminded to ride his mounts with sufficient vigour so as to leave no room for query.
RACE 7 (R1008) CLASS 4B – 1300M (LC-A6), SATURDAY, 26 OCTOBER 2024, SELANGOR TURF CLUB OCTOBER MEETING 2024
The Stewards, on Sunday, 27 October took evidence from Apprentice Z Syafifie, the rider of the SOMAR.
After reviewing the films of the incident and considering the evidence tendered, the Stewards decided to take no further action, however, he was reminded of his obligation to ride his mounts on the correct running line despite of the movement of other horses.
