In a press release titled “Racing Towards Global Excellence,” (click banner above for full article) dated November 11, 2023, Selangor Turf Club (SLTC) announced that it would recommission the 3 and 4 year-old championships for the 2024 season, thereby offering immediate returns on investment for 3 and 4 year-olds.

The SLTC remains committed to the younger horses project of providing instant returns on investments.  Accordingly, the SLTC is pleased to announce that it has implemented a new bonus scheme for 3-year olds and 4-year olds for the 2024 season.  The breakdown of this bonus scheme is provided below:

3-Year Olds

Any 3-year old winning an:

• Open Maiden race, winning owner will be entitled to an additional bonus of RM10,000; and
• Open Novice race, winning owner will be entitled to an additional bonus of RM5,000.

4-Year Olds

Any 4-year old winning an:

• Open Maiden race, winning owner will be entitled to an additional bonus of RM5,000; and
• Open Novice race, winning owner will be entitled to an additional bonus of RM5,000.

The above scheme, effective immediately for the year 2024, will be rewarding for owners of Selangor Turf Club based horses.   

Despite having to adjust to the realities of the Club rebuilding following the Covid epidemic, the SLTC keeps investing in the horse racing industry. The SLTC is convinced that the aforementioned bonus is a continuous act of gratitude to those who invest in horseracing in Malaysia.
