Magdalene Tan, a Race Presenter with Selangor Turf Club, provide live race day information to racing fans by analyzing horses while they are at the Paddock and Parade Ring. She uses her experience as an ex- professional jockey and track rider to provide in depth analysis of the past performance of the horses before the race and conduct live interviews with the winning trainer and jockey after the race.agdeline was pursued into Singapore Apprentice Academy in 1992 and thereafter pursued a career as an Apprentice Jockey with the Malayan Racing Association riding at Selangor Turf Club, Perak Turf Club, Penang Turf Club and Singapore Turf Club. She was attached to several trainers, among others Claude Charlet, John Brink, the late Wilming Yeo and David Balfour for 6 months in Adelaide in 1997.

She started riding in 1994 and decided to end her career as a jockey in 1998. She had 35 career wins as a jockey.

She pursued her passion for horse racing and became a track rider with the late Trainer John McGillivray and till now, presently with Selangor based trainer, Richard Lines.
